On site volunteer opportunities at Lowcountry Orphan Relief twice a month

Every month collect recyclable materials for The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, can tabs and travel size toiletries for the Ronald Mcdonald House, and gently used children’s clothing, books, and stuffed animals for ages 1-18 years for Lowcountry Orphan Relief.

January 2026

January 19th: General meeting

“Aunt  Flow” memorial project: We collected feminine hygiene products to donate to the nurses of Charleston County middle schools.

February 2026

February 16th: General Meeting


We will wear red for women’s heart health month. We will also have a guest speaker from the seeds to shoreline project. Our environment committee will be working with Frierson elementary school, a title one school in Charleston County, cultivating and growing and planting spartina grass in the Marshes.

March 2026

March 16th: General Meeting Luncheon

We will be putting the final touches on our annual card party fundraiser that is on Thursday, March 19th. Tickets are sold out.

Event Spotlight

We prepared 150 valentine bags filled with cards and goodies for the residents of White Oak Manor Assisted Living. Students from Mary Ford and from Ashley Ridge High School contributed some of the cards!

Past Events

The Woman’s Club of Charleston is “Stocking Up for Christmas” for Lowcountry Orphan Relief.

The ladies provided 599 articles of clothing, 47 toiletry items and 27 stuffed animals. Through the generosity of these ladies, 53 “stockings” were fulfilled!

Members of the Woman’s Club of Charleston served lunch and dined with the families of Mary Ford Early Learning and Family Center, a title one school located in North Charleston, South Carolina. A fun time was had by all!

We delivered 16 “Birthday Boxes” to Mary Ford Early Learning Center!
